Toyota is rolling out a newly redesigned Avalon for 2019 with a heavy emphasis on technology in the flagship model.
The fifth-generation Avalon will feature Toyota-firsts Apple CarPlay and Dynamic Auxiliary Turn Signals as standard equipment. Toyota says the 2019 model received an all-encompassing makeover and production will start in the spring.
Highlights from the Avalon makeover are:
- --New 3.5-liter V6 engine and Toyota Hybrid System Powertrains offering increased power and better fuel-efficiency.
- --Apple CarPlay is standard with the Entune 3.0 that includes WiFi hotspot, Qi wireless charging and Toyota Remote Connect with smartwatch and Amazon Alexa Connectivity.
- --New body style is contemporary but sporty using new stamping methods allowed designers to create distinctive lines.
The Avalon is available in four grades: the athletic XSE (all-new) and Touring, XLE and Limited. Hybrid grades include XLE, Limited, and XSE.
