The Honda Clarity Plug-in Hybrid sedan provides all-electric driving for most daily situations owners will love reduced fuel costs and ultra-low emissions. For longer trips, however, the hybrid gas powertrain eliminates range anxiety, so you can always fill up at a service station and be on your way.
The Honda Clarity Plug-In Hybrid offers an EPA rating of 47 miles on electricity only, enough for most daily needs. When the battery runs low, the gas engine kicks in for a 340-mile combined gas-electric EPA range rating. The 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder gas engine is rated at 103-horsepower, while the electric motor cranks out 181 horsepower, powered by a 17-kilowatt hour, 168-cell lithium-ion battery pack under the rear seat.
VehiclesTEST recently tested the Clarity Plug-In, and the video review will be live later this month on subscribing dealer websites.
