2019 Honda Fit Now in Showrooms

2019 Honda FitThe 2019 Fit started rolling into Honda showrooms earlier this month as the automaker continues to double down on the small-car segment.

With a MSRP of $16,190 for the LX base model, Honda touts the Fit as "the most affordable new car to offer such a comprehensive suite of advanced safety and driver-assist technologies." Additions to the 2019 Fit include high-beams added to Honda Sensing-equipment models and a new platinum pearl white exterior color replacing white orchid pearl.

Available in either a 6-speed manual or a continuously variable transmission, the Fit gets better than 30 mpg on city streets and 40-plus mpg on the highway. The engine is a 1.5-liter direct-injected 4-cylinder i-VTEC that produces a peak output of 130 horsepower and 114 pound-feet of torque.

Standard features on all Fit models include rearview camera, liftgate spoiler, auto on-off headlights, LED taillights and a multifunction center console. On Sport models and up, the Fit includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration through a high-resolution, 7-inch touchscreen.

Honda says the Fit has the largest cargo capacity compared to other cars in its class. Thanks for the fuel tank mounted underneath the front-row seats, the Fit has 52.7 cubic-feet of space with the rear seats folded down.
